This guide grew out of learning and discussion in the UESTC AI Club, and we hope students at other universities will find it useful too. We care about how a student finds their way through university, starts exploring AI, meets people to work with, and gradually develops their own judgment.
What is here
Two opening essays, starter projects, practical research workflows, resources across AI fields, and personal experiences and reflections.
Our members share an interest in AI. Some work on vision, language models, agents, world models, or embodied AI; others enjoy development, competitions, and turning ideas into things.
Content and sources
Club members wrote the opening essays, research Q&A, and personal accounts. Courses, papers, and blogs link to their original authors.
This guide continues the work of the UESTC AI Club Guide and its predecessor AI4UESTC_Beginners. We thank the original contributors and the authors of the courses, open-source projects, blogs, and experience articles.
The Lumina Embodied AI Guide informed the organization and resource selection for embodied AI.
